Cliff House
The Cliff House is perched along Austin’s historic Scenic Drive, bolted into a limestone cliff, overlooking the Lower Colorado River. The house’s three levels are barely visible from the road, and the interior spaces reveal themselves only after entering the precinct. The house’s entry is marked by a minimal forecourt and lighted pavilion, which gives onto a lush planted roof garden, and a suspended staircase. Light and air animate all the spaces, and reclaimed materials are featured throughout the interior and exterior of this family home.
