Casa Xixim
Casa Xixim is a beachfront, ecoluxe, private villa in Tulum, Mexico. A narrow path brings visitors through dense vegetation to a large living/dining/kitchen space that is open to the pool and beach beyond. All four bedrooms can be fully opened to the exterior, allowing prevailing winds to provide cooling while maximizing views of the ocean. The house incorporates both passive and active green energy strategies, including active solar power generation, fresh water collection and filtration, and waste processing through constructed wetlands.
